Programme of Meetings

The group meets monthly, usually from October to April in the Williams Memorial Hall, Main Road, Coychurch, Bridgend, CF35 5HB. Meetings start at 2.00pm. Click here to see the location on Google Maps. Ignore the large red pointer and look for the blue “The Williams Memorial 19Hall22” in the middle of the map.

We publish the programmes of forthcoming meetings in August/September with an update in March which covers the summer programme of garden visits (including organised coach trips).

Meetings usually take the format of a half-hour (or so) time for general chat and a plant sale. This is followed by a short talk by one of our members on the subject of “Plant of the Month”. This short talk is the warm-up act for our main speaker who may talk for around an hour. Then we socialise over tea/coffee and have a further opportunity to buy plants. We also hold a plant raffle for which prizes are donated by members.

Pre-Meeting Lunches

A small group of officers and members entertains our speakers to lunch at the nearby White Swan Inn in Coychurch, meeting at midday. Others attending the meeting are welcome to join us (though you will need to pay for your own food and drink) but, in order to make sure we have a large enough table booked, we ask that anyone planning to attend books their seat(s) with us no later than the preceding Wednesday. If you want to join us for lunch please contact the Chair by email.
