5 Proposal to increase the annual subscription of the group from £4 to £6 per person from April 2020.
6 Election of Officers and committee
The committee consists of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary and up to 6 other members.
Please consider volunteering for the committee – new members are always welcome. There are vacant places now and some members will shortly be coming to the end of their service, so we need new members to keep the Committee up to strength.

Brian James is willing to stand again as scrutineer.

3. Chairman’s Report.
John reported that the last year has been very successful with some very good speakers and
some good trips. The trips for 2018 look very interesting. .He particularly wanted to mention
the committee who have worked hard to keep our society running. Also the members who
assisted with the plant sales, teas etc.
4. Treasurer’s Report
Susan Lewis reported that the overall balance had remained similar. Although the income was
also down on last year, it reflected the variability in income that the group experienced. During
the summer the day trips have cost more this year. There being no further questions, the
accounts were approved.

Minutes of the EGM held on Saturday 20th October 2018 at the Williams Memorial Hall, Coychurch
The Extra Ordinary General Meeting to discuss changes to the constitution was held at the above location. The amendments to the constitution were laid out in a document distributed prior to the meeting.
Of the members attending the all amendments were passed with the required majority. The constitution will now be amended accordingly having been already passed by the trustees of the HPS.
